A 31 year old farmer was found murdered in his field in Lapangap village along the Meghalaya-Assam border in West Jaintia Hills.
Tellme Talang had gone to look after his field yesterday at 5 in the morning yesterday. When he failed to returned last night his family members reached the farm today with injuries on his head and mouth.
Waheh Shnong of Lapangap, Deimon Lyngdoh said police were informed about the incident.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and trace the perpetrators of the crime.
