The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has amended a recent order to allow liquor shops to remain open for an extra hour.
Wine shops, i.e. IMFL off licence establishments, can operate from 10am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday. Home delivery licensees may operate from 10am to 10pm Monday to Saturday.
On licence establishments like bars and clubs can serve alcohol from 1pm to 10pm daily.
Timings have also been given for bonded warehouses (10am to 6pm), canteens (10am to 8pm) and outstills (10am to 8pm), all of which can open from Monday to Saturday.
The order comes into immediate effect until further notice.
