Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong today laid the foundation stone for the construction of a road at Umsawnongbri in Ri Bhoi district.
The one kilometre road will be constructed at Rs 90.61 lakh ahead of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Presbyterian Church of the village in 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Tynsong said the state government is not resting and prioritising rural villages in a phase manner to allot and sanction developmental projects.
He said the MDA government is on the move to uplift the state in all fronts by introducing new programmes.
The Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed community hall of Mawroh village sanctioned under the SRWP scheme.
