To combat the harmful health issues because of worm infection such as Anemia, Nutritional impairment, loss of appetite, weakness, stomach ache, nausea, tendency to vomit and diarrhea, the office of the District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO), South West Khasi Hills District, will organise the National Deworming Day Programme from October 12 to 19 in order to distribute deworm tablets free of cost at session sites and Anganwadi centres of the district.
The National Deworming Day Programme aimed at helping children from one to 19 years old to become worm free. Parents, caregivers, community leaders, teachers, anganwadi workers and other frontline health workers have been urged to take active part in this programme as this programme will tremendously impact the health of children.
