The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has instructed all private sector establishments within the district to constitute an internal complaints committee (ICC) under Section 4 (1) of the Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
A report of the constitution of the committee is to be submitted to the office of the Deputy Commissioner by March 20, failing which action may be taken under Section 26 of the Act, the DC said.
