Leader of opposition, Dr Mukul Sangma continued his tirade against the NPP led MDA government and jibed that the “only milestone that it achieved is curbing the circulation of money in the hands of the people.”
“I meet businessmen across the state who talks about losing opportunities. Even the local, small-time contractors are losing employment,” he said at a block level meeting of the TMC in Jowai today. He lambasted the ruling dispensation over the bungling state of governance.
TMC MLA George B Lyngdoh stated that the people of Meghalaya have lost hope with the current government as the state of affairs remains perilous.
Meghalaya TMC State in-charge Manas R. Bhunia, party President Charles Pyngrope, former MDC and CEM of West Jaiñtia Hills Madanbai Rymbai and other party leaders were present at the meeting.
The TMC also welcomed two-time Congress MDC from Jowai Central, Awhai Andrew Shullai to its fold. The veteran leader was also the former Congress district president of West Jaiñtia Hills.
