There were 18 new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today, along with 102 recoveries and no fatalities, with the bulk of the recoveries registered in West Garo Hills.
There were six new infections in East Khasi Hills, zero in East Garo Hills, two in East Jaiñtia Hills, one in Eastern West Khasi Hills, zero in North Garo Hills, three in Ri-Bhoi, zero in South Garo Hills, zero in South West Garo Hills, zero in South West Khasi Hills, three in West Garo Hills, three in West Jaiñtia Hills and zero in West Khasi Hills.
East Khasi Hills accounted for nine recoveries, East Garo Hills two, East Jaiñtia Hills one, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi one, South Garo Hills four, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills three, West Garo Hills 76, West Jaiñtia Hills three and West Khasi Hills zero.
There are now 379 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills four, East Jaiñtia Hills 10, East Khasi Hills 46, Eastern West Khasi Hills one, North Garo Hills three, Ri-Bhoi 23, South Garo Hills six, South West Garo Hills 15, South West Khasi Hills seven, West Garo Hills 238, West Jaiñtia Hills 26 and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,282 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,290 have recovered and 1,613 have died from the virus. There are 29 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 13 in East Khasi Hills, three in Ri-Bhoi, one in South Garo Hills, three in South West Khasi Hills, six in West Garo Hills and three in West Jaiñtia Hills.
