There are two Covid-related deaths in Meghalaya today, along with 23 new cases and 37recoveries.
The fatalities are in East Khasi Hills and South Garo Hills, the Health Department informed.
There were nine news infections in West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills six, four in South West Garo Hills, Ri Bhoi two and West Jaiñtia Hills and South Garo Hills one each.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 10 recoveries, West Jaiñtia Hills seven, West Garo Hills six, South West Garo Hills four, three each in East Jaiñtia Hills, Ri Bhoi and South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills one.
There are now 363 active Covid-19 cases in the state – West Garo Hills 241, East Khasi Hills 41, Ri Bhoi 22, West Jaiñtia Hills 20, South West Garo Hills 15, seven each in East Jaiñtia Hills and South West Khasi Hills, three each in East Garo Hills, North Garo Hills and South Garo Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,305 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,327 have recovered and 1,615 have died from the virus.
There are 29 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 19 in East Khasi Hills, three in West Garo Hills, three in West Jaiñtia Hills, Ri Bhoi two, South Garo Hills one and South West Khasi Hills one.
