Meghalaya recorded a new Covid-related death today along with five new cases and 23 recoveries. Active coronavirus cases thus dropped below 100 to stand at 94.
The lone death was recorded in East Khasi Hills and was of an unvaccinated person, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded three new cases, East Garo Hills one and West Garo Hills one.
East Khasi Hills also accounted for 16 recoveries, West Garo Hills four and East Garo Hills three.
There are now 94 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 70 active cases, Ri-Bhoi seven, East Garo Hills six, West Garo Hills five, West Khasi Hills two, West Jaiñtia Hills two, East Jaiñtia Hills one, South West Khasi Hills one, South Garo Hills zero, South West Garo Hills zero and North Garo Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 84,757 Covid-19 cases, of which 94 are active, 83,184 have recovered and 1,479 have died from the virus.
