Former Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma today likened the Congress to a defective vehicle with faulty engine whose destination is unsure.
Sangma, the staunch Congressman who joined the All India Trinamool Congress, said “Congress has decayed into an old vehicle with a malfunctioning engine and its leadership was unsure whether it could reach its destination.”
Sangma met a clan gathering at Mawbon village under Mawshynrut constituency in West Khasi district to talk about the recent political developments in the Northeastern state.
He said the 12 former Congressmen have found a new vehicle in AITC that will help the people of Meghalaya reach its new goal together and that people should stay updated and not be misled by anyone considering the era of technology they are in.
“In today’s world, we have our mobile phones to be aware of what is happening around our world,” Sangma added.
Pointing out that the World Bank had given various projects for development in Meghalaya, he said that his new party would work together towards develop in the State.
