With the aim of spreading awareness on the importance of appropriate behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic, in line with the central government’s campaign, the Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards launched a poster and pledge-taking campaign in the 11 districts of Meghalaya last week.
The aim of the campaign is to sensitise the public on appropriate and responsible behaviour during the reopening stage of the pandemic and the ongoing festive season. Posters reminding citizens about Covid appropriate behaviour, such as wearing masks, frequent hand washing, use of sanitiser and maintaining social distancing and the administration of the pledge make up the campaign.
The campaign will run for two months, in line with a directive from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
