East Khasi Hills police are searching for a man who tried to break-in cars at the parking lot of the Cathedral Parish Laitumkhrah.
The man was caught on a security camera suspiciously “hovering” around and attempt to break into cars parked at the parking lot during Sunday Mass service, church authorities, who shared the footage, said today.
The footage has been circulated online to create awareness and urge people to be vigilant about the safety of their vehicles as there have been cases of theft in the parking area, authorities said.
An FIR was also lodged at Laitumkhrah Police Station against the unidentified man.
