The All Khasi Meghalaya Tourist Taxi Association has called for no discrimination in allocation of parking space in the Khyndailad area.
According to the association, private cars and tourist taxis with Assam registration have been allowed to park in the ‘No Parking’ zones while tourist vehicles from Meghalaya are restricted and clamped along the Oakland Road.
Irked by such an arrangement, leaders of the association met with the East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police (Traffic) with a plea to make adjustments and to allow them to park with no discrimination.
