A blood donation camp was organized by the BSF Composite Hospital Shillong in collaboration with Blood Bank of NEIGRIHMS today to celebrate the 60th BSF Raising Day.
Cabinet minister Paul Lyngdoh attended the camp as chief guest in presence of BSF IG Harbax Singh Dhillon, Dr Angel Bennet, DIG (Med)/MS, CH BSF Shillong and other senior officers from the BSF.
A total of 115 BSF personnel of all ranks including the serving female staff came forward to donate blood voluntarily.
Lyngdoh emphasised the importance of blood donation and also discussed how blood donation can bridge the gap between people from different areas and societies.
