Shillong, Sep 26: The Block-Level Chief Minister’s Youth Engagement Programme 2026 concluded at the Forest Reserve Playground, Kharkutta in North Garo Hills on Thursday.
Kharkutta MLA and MNREDA Chairman Rupert Momin, who attended as the chief guest, encouraged youth to develop their talents and make use of government platforms to explore, learn and showcase skills. He highlighted government initiatives on infrastructure and facilities for youth and students, and acknowledged the efforts of the Department of Education and Sports in creating opportunities for young people.
JRDO Celine Sangma, urged students to focus on studies, use time productively and limit excessive use of social media.
Resource Person Rikcheng Sangma, Superintendent of Children’s Home (Boys), Resubelpara, stressed participation, time management and discipline, and encouraged students to identify their talents and build careers based on their interests and skills.
The programme concluded with prize distribution to winners.
