The A’chik Students’ Welfare Association (ASWA) has written to the Block Development Officer of Selsella to warn the authorities of illegal stone quarrying in the area.
According to ASWA’s local unit, such activities have been taking place at Sesella Kalupara under Buchigre A’king Nokma since last year.
If not stopped, “this illegal stone quarry will cause damage to the Galwang River,” it added.
