The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of West Jaintia Hills has invited applications for fresh appointment of government nominee/Public Distribution System (PDS) agents from bonafide persons, cooperative societies, NGOs, self-help groups (SHGs), government agents, etc for 2025 and 2026.
Prescribed application forms are available in the office of the DC (Supply) in Jowai during office hours and the last date of submitting the filled up forms is September 25, 2024.
Documents to be attached along with the applications are a court fee stamp of Rs 25 (to be affixed in the prescribed application form), three copies of attested passport size photo of the applicant (photo of the proprietor if application is in the name of a firm and photo of the secretary if the application is in the name of a cooperative society/NGO), bank guarantee of Rs 1 lakh for tribals and Rs 2 lakh for non-tribals to be executed on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 10.
The validity of the guarantee should be a minimum period of six months. Documentary proof counter-signature of the local headman regarding possession of godown with capacity, computer hardware, internet connectivity, storage capacity (in MT) should be mentioned. Trading licence for non-tribal and tribals (if application is in the name of a firm or company, GST/Sale tax clearance certificate (Clearance or exemption certificate), Professional Tax clearance, Aadhaar/Schedule Tribe Certificate.
