Cabinet Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh today visited West Jaiñtia Hills district to discuss on the various health issues and to assess the progress of ongoing projects in the district.
The minister chaired the zonal meeting in Mihmyntdu, Jowai which was attended by officials from the health, agriculture and horticulture, research departments of both the Jaiñtia Hills districts.
She also held a meeting with the MLAs and medical officers to discuss on the health status of West and East Jaiñtia Hills and interacted with health officials and ASHAs to understand the current state of health care and discussed on possible solutions.
Agriculture Secretary Isawanda Laloo, West and East Jaiñtia Hills Deputy Commissioners BS Sohliya and Abhilash Baranwal, West Jaiñtia Hills Superintendent of Police Chemphang Syrti were also present at the meeting.
