One of the complainants in the case against the Dean of the College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University at Sangsanggre on the outskirts of Tura filed another police complaint after pressure was apparently put on her to withdraw the complaint.
Two women, one a security guard and another had accused the Dean of physically exploiting them.
As per the security guard, the dean, since the past few months, had asked them to spend nights in her quarter within the campus. As she was the highest authority of the college, they obeyed the order and have been sleeping there for a few months now.
According to the complaints filed at the Tura Women’s PS, the two victims called the treatment meted out to them by the Dean as inhuman and illegal while exhorting the police to investigate the matter.
“The complainants alleged that the Dean had forced them to do domestic work in her quarter while physically exploiting them with forced body massages.
Allegedly after a FIR was filed by her two days ago, the Dean on June 25 called one of the victims on the phone threatening her to withdraw the police complaint.
“She again called me over the phone the next day, June 26, and sent some staff to take me to the College but I refused to go. I would like to register an additional FIR against her for trying to intimidate me,” said one of the victims.
Asking for her rights to be protected from the Dean, the complainant sought action against the Dean on her attempts to intimidate. The additional FIR was lodged today.
