The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the BJP’s youth wing, organised the ‘Pa Togan Sangma Best Student Award 2022’ in Tura today to recognise meritorious students.
The occasion was graced by Numal Momin MLA, the Deputy Speaker of the Assam Assembly and Nanadro B Marak, an organic farmer who is a Padma Shri awardee.
More than 50 toppers of 2022 SSLC and HSSLC examinations from nearly 40 secondary and higher secondary schools of the Tura region who have excelled in their respective institutions were felicitated on the day.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest lauded the achievement of the youngsters and motivated them to work for the uplifting of the nation.
Marak spoke about the valour of Pa Togan Sangma and asked the youth to follow his footsteps.
