A suitcase left unattended along the footpath at Polo has triggered needless panic among people, here today.
Police said the suspicious-looking suitcase was left along a footpath near the CRPF camp, setting off a bomb scare.
Alert locals had called the police about their suspicion that the bag could be a threat or a bomb. The bomb squad Unit and police K9 Unit were rushed to the scene to inspect the bag and cordoned off the area.
Additional SP Bomb squad H Wahlang said the team inspected the suitcase, but there was no threat inside.
