An abandoned bag near the hostel of Kiddies Corner School, Fire Brigade in the city created panic among the public on Saturday afternoon.
After being alerted by the public, police cordoned off the area on suspicion that the bag may contain a bomb.
A bomb squad of the state police rushed to the place and on close inspection by experts, it was found out that the bag contained only shoes, a plate, catapult, a phone charger and other items like towel.
