The Nongstoiñ Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Nongstoiñ College observed World Population Day today, raising awareness on population issues and promoting responsible parenthood.
The event, held at the Market Complex in New Nongstoiñ, featured speeches and awareness talks by resource persons from government departments, including the Health Department, Nongstoiñ Police Station, and environmental experts.
The programme aimed to educate the public on family planning, timely parenthood, and the well-being of mothers and children. Speakers also highlighted the issue of waste and uncleanliness in Nongstoiñ town, discussing ways to maintain cleanliness and protect the environment.
