The inaugural ceremony of PA Sangma Am·beng College, the first-ever degree college in the area, was held at Dilsigre Secondary School, which will serve as the temporary campus.
Former legislator James PK Sangma attended the occasion, accompanied by other guests.
Mollen B Marak delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the college’s significance for the local community. James declared the college open, marking its official beginning, while referring to support of the PA Sangma Foundation, which is named after his late father.
The college, named after late PA Sangma, aims to provide quality education to the youth of Dadenggre and surrounding areas. Initially operating from a temporary building, construction of a permanent campus will commence upon receipt of grants.
