The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Jaintia Hills District has informed that food grains (rice) under Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM-POSHAN Scheme) for Lower Primary Schools, Upper Primary Schools and Bal-Vatika for Pre-Primary level under the PM POSHAN Scheme has been released.
Rice is for the months of October and November 2024 and will be delivered free of cost to the doorsteps of the schools by the approved government nominees.
The scale of issue is 2.568 kg per student for Pre-Primary Level (Bal-Vatika), 2.868 kg per student for Lower Primary Schools and 7.264 kg per student for Upper Primary Schools.
