The Central Bureau of Communication, Shillong in association with the Shillong Municipal Board will organize a ‘Shramdaan’ cleaning drive under Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign on November 7.
The main focus of the programme is to create greater awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship, with a cleaning drive in Kyndailad (Police Bazaar).
A public meeting will also be held at the OB shopping mall parking lot followed by a cleaning drive with active participation from volunteers, municipal office, CRPF, BSF, NCC, shopkeepers and the public from 7:30 am onwards.
Cabinet minister, Alexander Laloo Hek will grace the event and felicitate ‘Safai Mitras’.
