The certificate distribution programme for the 105th batch of computer trainees and the 43rd batch language students of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre was held here today.
During the programme, the centre presented 1640 certificates to the meritorious students who excelled in the two subjects. Every year, the centre trains around 6,000 youths in computer subjects, spread over five sessions.
The present convocation is for trainees of the April to June 2024 session, comprising around 2200 youths from different parts of the Northeast.
The students who topped in computer training are Nabin Rai, Sarmishta Barua, Naphisabeth Jarain, Medarishisha Ryntathiang, Orison Lapang, Simran Khatun, Iarilang Lyngdoh Nonglait, Bapyndapbor Wahlang and Damiki Wann. In the English Language & Communication Skills was Abigali Mary June Langstieh.
Nikita Ghosh was awarded a computer for completing several courses and excelling in all of them.
Director Meghalaya Basin Development Authority Aibanshngain Swer and Padma Shree Silbi Passah attended the ceremony, conducted in two sessions, as guests.
Earlier in his inaugural address, Swami Divyaswarupananda Maharaj, Assistant Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission congratulated all the students for utilising their full potential and dedication towards learning.
