The Jaiñtia Students’ Movements (JSM) Wahiajer-Ummulong area has decided to extend educational support for five orphans.
The decision was taken today at a meeting which was also attended by orphans identified from the village.
The organisation will extend essential support to the students and assist them in continuing their education under more suitable conditions by covering their school and tuition fees, books, and uniforms.
The meeting was attended by organisation leaders, women and guardians of the orphans.
Area president, H. Supuh said encouraged the children to do their best in their respective schools. He said education is the most powerful weapon that will not only help an individual to learn and acquire knowledge but to acquire values and virtue.
