A 15-day skill development programme for pottery artisans began at Larnai village today, organised by the District Commerce and Industries Centre of West Jaiñtia Hills.
Deputy Commissioner BS Sohliya was the chief guest at the inauguration with ML Wanshnong, Joint Director of the Commerce and Industries Department as the guest of honour.
The training is part of the ongoing project ‘Scheme on Studies for Promotion and Strengthening of Black Pottery at Tyrshang and Larnai villages’ scheduled to end on January 28. There are 76 artisans taking part.
