The Shillong Traffic Police, in an attempt to improve the traffic situation in the Pynthorumkhrah to Pohkseh areas, will trial changes to traffic movement regulations from November 15, 2023.
For the Pynthorumkhrah area, no entry will be allowed at the Fifth Furlong bridge (BK Bajoria School junction) for vehicles wanting to proceed towards Pynthorumkhrah bazaar (Assam Dairy junction).
In the Pohkseh area, a stretch of road will be used as a ring road. The exact route starts with a right turn from the road to Rynjah bazaar, towards Nongrim petrol pump, then left at the house of Charles Pyngrope MLA, left on to the road leading to Children’s Hospital and left again near the Pohkseh Dorbar Hall.
