The State Council of Science, Technology & Environment (SCSTE) Meghalaya is sending four batches, comprising both students and teachers, for a science exposure trip to Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.
The first batch of 36 participants already left on January 6 and the second batch of 37 left today. The third batch with 44 will leave on January 15 and 29 participants of the fourth batch will leave for the trip on January 28.
The science exposure trip designed to inspire and enhance the scientific curiosity of students and teachers aims to provide participants with hands-on learning experiences and exposure to cutting-edge scientific research and innovation across India’s leading scientific institutions
The participants will visit renowned science hubs across the three cities including the IIT, Birla Planetarium, CMFRI (Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute), and an Ice Cream Industry to explore technology applications in food processing.
This initiative is part of SCSTE’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and scientific temperament among the youth while empowering educators to bring experiential learning into classrooms.
