To improve vehicular traffic at Polo and Madanrting area, the Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has brought in changes in traffic regulation to run on trail from November 6.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Sylvester Nongtnger ina press release said, in Polo area, no entry will be imposed at 4th Furlong Junction for vehicles wanting to proceed towards Polo. They will be diverted towards CS junction / Pinewood junction / B. K. Bajoria junction.
Vehicles will not be allowed to take right turn at Matri Mandir junction towards Polo Bazaar junction, but they will be diverted towards 4th Furlong.
Similarly, No Right Turn will be allowed at Green Hills junction for vehicles coming from Polo Towers road wanting to proceed towards 4th Furlong. They will have to take Right Turn at Polo Bazaar junction and proceed towards 4th Furlong.
In Madanrting area, one way routes will be converted from Lumbasuk junction towards National Law University (NLU), Demthring Petrol Pump junction towards Madanrting Presbyterian junction and from Madanrting market junction towards Demthring Petrol Pump junction.
