The office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has informed citizens of the district that the central government has given a three-month window for Aadhaar seeding as a special case.
After this period, funds will be released only for beneficiaries who have seeded their Aadhaar number and uploaded it on the Poshan Tracker. All citizens have been therefore reminded that Aadhaar enrolment is mandatory for flagship central schemes like MGNREGA, NFSA, NSAP, LPG connection, MHIS and post-matric scholarship.
For Aadhaar enrolment, a birth certificate is required, it was reminded. Aadhaar enrolment is being carried out in the DC’s office, at all the 11 blocks of East Khasi Hills and identified camps.
