Police arrested one Vishal Kupar Marngar (30) on suspicion of being a drug peddler here yesterday.
Marngar, of Nongstoin Mawkawah but currently resident of Polo, Shillong, was stopped by a patrol party from Pasteur beathouse at around 5:30pm yesterday. A body search revealed that he was carrying 17 vials of heroin and Rs 480 in cash.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against him.
