In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the State government has appointed R P Marak as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of South West Garo Hills.
Currently, Marak is the DC of North Garo Hills.
Mitali Chandra, Deputy Secretary to the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department and State Labour Commissioner has been appointed as DC of North Garo Hills.
Tangseng G. Momin, Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department shall also function as Labour Commissioner.
