Curfew was lifted in Sahsniang village, days after violence broke out following vote counting of the Assembly elections on March 2.
According to reports, NPP supporters pelted stones at the houses of UDP supporters at Sahsniang village. The supporters were angry over the victory of sitting MLA Nujorki Sungoh of UDP.
Reports said that many UDP supporters from the village had to flee for their own safety.
In an order passed today, the West Jaintia Hills district magistrate said the curfew has been completely lifted.
