The Mass Media Department at St Anthony’s College and Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) will host a summit conference on the Meghalaya State Film Policy on March 9 at the college conference hall.
Despite three decades of the growth of the film industry in the state, Meghalaya still does not have a policy that regulates film.
This conference is sponsored by ICSSR-NERC, Shillong. At the summit, the different panel discussions with members of the film and art fraternity of our state will be held. The panelists will discuss relevant issues, challenges of film making in our state and these will be incorporated into a draft film policy that will be submitted to the state government.
