TMC plays divisive politics, Congress power hungry: JP Nadda

BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda has hurled varied accusations against the Trinamool Congress and criticised the Congress as a power-hungry party.

“I have come to know that nowadays some TMC has come here even after doing this. ‘T’ stands for Tola Baazi, ‘M’ stands for Money Laundering and Mafiaraj and ‘C’ stands for Corruption and Commission. These people are the people who do politics by dividing the society. These are the people who are destroying the culture here. These are the people who do politics on the basis of religion. Moreover, they call people from other countries also for votes. Such people should never be allowed to come into the mainstream here,” Nadda said at a public meeting held in Jhalupara here today.

“As far as Congress is concerned – it is neither here nor there. They have neither any ideology nor any faith. They fight separately in Kerala, unite in Tripura, unite in West Bengal. All they want is power,” he added.

Nadda said that ever since the BJP government came to power at the center and ever since he has focused on the development of the North East, the competition for development has started. “It is our endeavor that all the states move ahead on the path of development at a fast pace. However, Meghalaya is finding it difficult to grow as fast due to corruption and some other reasons. Therefore, we have decided that we will make Meghalaya corruption free in the next five years and take the state forward. If Meghalaya has to be made a corruption-free state, then you will have to make all the BJP candidates victorious and send them to the assembly,” he said.

The BJP leader at the meeting highlighted the works and initiatives undertaken through various schemes by the centre for development in Meghalaya including the region.

Nadda who will release the BJP manifesto tomorrow further stated, “I will put BJP’s vision for Meghalaya in front of the public that where we want to reach Meghalaya in the next five years. Whatever BJP says, it does and what it does not do, but if it is necessary for the welfare of the people, then we do that also. This is our track record. We always take the report card of our work in front of the public.”
