The South West Garo Hills unite of the A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) met with the district Deputy Commissioner, Block Development Officer of Betasing and Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) regarding the “illogical selection of PMAY-G scheme” beneficiaries.
The BDO explained some of the technical problems and why some villagers were ignored from the scheme in Ichakuri village. The official explained that the selection was made based on central government guidelines.
AHAM still requested the authorities to “rectify” what it said were mistakes in picking beneficiaries.
