The Dalmia Bharat Foundation, in collaboration with NABARD, began a skill development project on masonry today in Diengshynrum village, East Jaiñtia Hills.
The foundation is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Cement.
Thirty rural, unemployed youths will attend the skill development training project on masonry, which will run for 60 days. Training is free and, on the successful completion of the training, each participant will be awarded with a course completion certificate and masonry tools.
It is hoped that the participants will then be able to find employment in the construction industry.
