A body of an unidentified woman was found in Mawroh in the city.
Police today said that the body was found lying inside the jungle opposite the old Police Training School on October 4.
No age was specified but police said the woman is medium built and about 152 cm in height. She was wearing a pink top with black camisole, denim jean jacket, ankle length socks, a pair of gold earring and three pairs of ordinary earrings, a sacred thread (tabish) on her left arm and white sports shoes.
Meanwhile, a male patient (30), name unknown but from the Lachumiere area, was admitted to Shillong Civil Hospital on October 5 and subsequently passed away the following morning.
Relatives of the deceased have been requested to claim the body from the hospital morgue within three days, failing which it will be disposed of by the Shillong Municipal Board.
