There was one new Covid-related fatality in Meghalaya today, along with 71 new cases and 75 recoveries.
The lone death was in West Garo Hills.
There were 20 new infections in East Khasi Hills, zero in East Garo Hills, one in East Jaiñtia Hills, zero in Eastern West Khasi Hills, two in North Garo Hills, zero in Ri-Bhoi, six in South Garo Hills, seven in South West Garo Hills, one in South West Khasi Hills, 30 in West Garo Hills, four in West Jaiñtia Hills and zero in West Khasi Hills.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 16 recoveries, East Garo Hills one, East Jaiñtia Hills two, Eastern West Khasi Hills one, North Garo Hills 11, Ri-Bhoi three, South Garo Hills two, South West Garo Hills 12, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills 21, West Jaiñtia Hills six and West Khasi Hills zero.
There are now 691 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills six, East Jaiñtia Hills 14, East Khasi Hills 105, Eastern West Khasi Hills one, North Garo Hills six, Ri-Bhoi 22, South Garo Hills 34, South West Garo Hills 30, South West Khasi Hills two, West Garo Hills 435, West Jaiñtia Hills 35 and West Khasi Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 95,719 Covid-19 cases, out of which 93,420 have recovered and 1,608 have died from the virus. There are 49 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 27 in East Khasi Hills, five in Ri-Bhoi, two in South Garo Hills, 12 in West Garo Hills and three in West Jaiñtia Hills.
