The Synjuk ki Waheh Shnong Iooksi Pyllun (5 Waheh Shnong) along with villagers took upon themselves to fix the dilapidated road from Umdeinlin to Sha Talow and Umbluh villages in West Jaiñtia Hills district.
Publicity secretary of the Synjuk, Nangaibormi Sutnga said that the road is an important link for farmers in Iooksi area.
Hundreds of villagers from Iooksi Pyllun that include, Iooksi Iapkhla, Iooksi Kyanmynsar, Iooksi Tongkiad, Iooksi Priang and Iooksi Umdeinlin, got down to doing what should have been the prerogative of those in administration-easing their suffering by repairing the dysfunctional road.
The synjuk said that all the construction materials required for the repair was borne by Nehimaya Tyngkan, a resident of Iooksi and some of the villagers sponsored transportation of the materials.
