There were 88 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today, along with 39 recoveries and no fatalities.
There were 22 new infections in East Khasi Hills, two in East Jaiñtia Hills, four in Ri-Bhoi, five in South West Garo Hills, 52 in West Garo Hills and three in West Jaiñtia Hills.
Thirteen recoveries were in East Khasi Hills, six in Ri-Bhoi, two in South West Garo Hills, 17 in West Garo Hills and one in West Jaiñtia Hills.
There are now 577 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills seven, East Jaiñtia Hills three, East Khasi Hills 141, Eastern West Khasi Hills three, North Garo Hills six, Ri-Bhoi 53, South Garo Hills 13, South West Garo Hills 28, West Garo Hills 305, West Jaiñtia Hills 15 and West Khasi Hills three.
In all, Meghalaya has had 94,851 Covid-19 cases, out of which 92,674 have recovered and 1,600 have died from the virus. Fifty-four patients are being treated in hospital with the disease – 39 in East Khasi Hills, one in Ri-Bhoi, 11 in West Garo Hills and three in West Jaiñtia Hills.
