The All Khasi Hills A’chik Federation (AKHAF) has urged the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department to restore drinking water pipes in Maheskola under South West Khasi Hills district.
AKHAF president, Clivestar Ch Marak said that all the pipelines were completely destroyed by landslide and heavy rainfall last month. He urged the department to conduct an urgent spot enquiry for people to have access to pure drinking water.
Meanwhile, the organisation provided relief to the affected villages and undertook road repairs in Borsora area today.
