Seven persons were left injured, after a speeding inter-state bus met with an accident today at Gomaijhora under Phulbari Police Station in West Garo Hills.
The bus was on its way from Guwahati to Mankachar via Tikrikilla from Guwahati at around 2:30 am. Reports said that the driver lost control of the wheel and fell into a roadside wetland.
He later fled the scene. Passengers were sent for medical examination and released after giving first aid.
