The Anti- Sexual Harassment Cell, Shillong College, today organized an interactive session on the topic “Sexual Harassment – Be Informed”.
Former member of the Meghalaya State Commission for Women and advocate, Rebina Subba attended the session as the resource personand dwelt on the types of harassment as well as on various government policies related to sexual harassment at the work place.
Subba enlightened on UGC guidelines to curb sexual harassment especially with regards to higher educational institutions and campuses.
Vice Principal, K D Roy also spoke on the relevance of such issues and the need for students to be alert and informed.
The programme was attended by students and teachers from the various departments of the college.
