The Laban dorbar shnong has objected to the replacement of a road name by a no parking wall mural of the Shillong Traffic Police.
According to the dorbar, the road was named after a former rangbah shnong, Krep Sing Swer.
Rangbah shnong Edward Kharwanlang and rangbah dong Jormanik Myrthong said this was done without the collaboration with the police by an individual, Shaheen Blah.
The dorbar had also sought clarification from the officer in charge of Laban Police Station, MR Marak and were informed that no permission was sought from them to erase the name of the road.
Kharlamlang said that the dorbar has been working in coordination with the police on matter related to traffic and crime besides others and such acts will not be allowed in the locality.
