The body of a 52-year-was recovered from the Umran River in Ri-Bhoi today.
The man, Sebastian Wardkhar, who hailed from Umran Dairy, went missing from his home on January 2 after setting off for work. He never returned.
Today morning, a few boys spotted a body floating in the river and informed village elders. The body was fished out of the water and later identified as Wardkhar.
Police took charge of the body and investigations are ongoing.
