Meghalaya recorded 50 new cases of Covid-19 today, the highest level in several weeks, along with two recoveries and no fatalities.
Active cases in East Khasi Hills thus crossed the 100-mark once again, with the total in Meghalaya standing at 145.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 45 new cases, West Garo Hills four and West Jaiñtia Hills one. East Khasi Hills recorded both recoveries.
There are now 145 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 128 active cases, West Garo Hills 12, Ri-Bhoi two, East Jaiñtia Hills two, West Jaiñtia Hills one, North Garo Hills zero, East Garo Hills zero, South West Khasi Hills zero, South Garo Hills zero, South West Garo Hills zero and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 84,931 Covid-19 cases, of which 145 are active, 83,301 have recovered and 1,485 have died from the virus.
